Isla Rae Jewelry Heart to the Sun Necklace

Crafted with intention, this double-sided pendant is a tribute to resilience, remembrance, hope and the ongoing fight for mental health awareness.

On one side, the Māori proverb “Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you” is engraved with a radiant sun. An optimistic quote and a daily reminder to choose hope, to face the warmth, to hold light close and choose brightness even in the difficult seasons. 

The reverse carries two hands reaching toward one another but not quite touching, with a fractured heart falling between them. The words “Part of my heart stayed… Part of it left with you” honor both the love and the grief carried by those who have lost someone to suicide or living with mental health struggles. The hands represent compassion and the desire for connection, while the broken heart acknowledges the ache of absence.
